These Conditions of Carriage explain the rights and responsibilities of Tours-UK Ltd and all passengers travelling on our tours, transfers and related services.
They are designed to support safe, professional and enjoyable travel for everyone.
WHO WE ARE
About Tours-UK
Tours-UK Ltd provides selected:
- Same-day sightseeing tours
- Multi-day tours
- Airport transfers
- Seaport transfers
- Private hire transport
- Small-group travel services
These Conditions apply to direct bookings and, where relevant, to bookings made via approved third-party platforms.
BOOKINGS & CONTRACT
Booking Confirmation
A booking contract is formed when:
✔ written confirmation is issued
✔ payment is accepted
✔ the booking is operationally accepted
Where bookings are made through third-party platforms, their payment and booking systems may also apply.
DRIVER-GUIDE AUTHORITY
Safety & Operational Decisions
Our driver-guides are responsible for:
- passenger safety
- lawful vehicle operation
- on-tour logistics
- timetable management
- emergency decisions
Passengers must follow reasonable safety instructions at all times.
Driver-guides may adjust timings, routes or stop durations where reasonably necessary.
ITINERARY CHANGES
Operational Flexibility
Published itineraries are indicative and may be adjusted due to:
- traffic congestion
- weather conditions
- road closures
- site restrictions
- safety concerns
- operational requirements
- emergency incidents
Such reasonable changes do not normally constitute breach of contract.
VEHICLE BREAKDOWNS
Unexpected Mechanical Issues
In the unlikely event of breakdown, Tours-UK will use reasonable endeavours to provide:
✔ replacement vehicle
✔ onward transport solution
✔ suitable alternative arrangements
Where continuation is not reasonably possible, an appropriate partial or full refund may be considered.
PASSENGER CONDUCT
Behaviour Standards
Passengers must not behave in a way that is:
- abusive
- threatening
- intoxicated
- unsafe
- discriminatory
- disruptive
- unlawful
Tours-UK may refuse travel or remove passengers where necessary for safety or welfare. No refund will usually be due in such cases.

Oversized or unsafe baggage may be refused if space or safety is affected. Please check with us before travel for specialist items.
ACCESSIBILITY
Inclusive Travel
Tours-UK aims to make reasonable efforts to assist guests with disabilities or mobility needs where practicable.
Please contact us before booking so we can discuss:
- boarding requirements
- mobility aids
- route suitability
- vehicle limitations
- site accessibility
Advance notice helps us support you properly.
CHILDREN
Children & Young Passengers
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Child seating requirements should be raised before travel.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Booking Changes
Refunds and cancellations are governed by our separate Refund Policy.
Third-party bookings may also be subject to the terms of the booking platform used.
FORCE MAJEURE
Events Beyond Reasonable Control
Tours-UK is not liable for delays, changes or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:
- severe weather
- strikes
- government restrictions
- public emergencies
- road closures
- third-party failures
- extraordinary incidents
Where possible, we will seek fair alternatives.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Valuables & Property
Passengers remain responsible for their personal belongings during travel.
Please keep valuables with you at all times.
Tours-UK is not liable for loss unless caused by proven negligence.
COMPLAINTS
If Something Goes Wrong
Please raise concerns with your driver-guide during travel where possible so we can try to resolve matters immediately.
If unresolved, contact customer services after travel. We aim to review complaints fairly and within a reasonable timeframe.
LIABILITY
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Conditions limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
Otherwise, Tours-UK’s liability is generally limited to the value of the affected booking except where law requires otherwise.
GOVERNING LAW
Legal Jurisdiction
These Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
