We aim to make reasonable adjustments wherever practicable and safe, helping more people enjoy our small-group tours and travel services.

ASSISTANCE WE MAY OFFER

Reasonable Support

Where possible and with advance notice, Tours-UK may assist with:

Boarding Assistance

Driver-guides may offer verbal guidance and reasonable boarding support where safe to do so.

Preferred Seating

We may reserve front or aisle seating where available.

Foldable Mobility Aids

A lightweight foldable wheelchair or walking aid may sometimes be accommodated, subject to:

  • available storage space
  • safe handling
  • route suitability
  • prior notice

Additional Comfort Stops

Where operationally practical, extra comfort breaks may be considered.

Companion Support

Guests who require essential assistance are encouraged to travel with a companion or carer.

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS

Honest & Clear Information

To ensure safety and realistic expectations:

Wheelchair Travel

Our group minibuses generally do not provide wheelchair spaces for passengers to remain seated in their wheelchair while travelling.

Step Access Required

Passengers may need to board via steps using handrails.

Heavy Equipment

Staff are not able to physically lift passengers or heavy mobility equipment.

Walking at Destinations

Some tours involve:

  • uneven ground
  • historic surfaces
  • steps
  • short walking distances
  • periods of standing

Service Animals

Please contact us in advance regarding assistance animals so we can assess route, vehicle space and practical arrangements case-by-case.

ABOUT OUR VEHICLES

Vehicle Information

Many Tours-UK services operate using modern 16-seat minibuses / Public Service Vehicles (PSVs).

Typical features may include:

✔ front passenger door access
✔ built-in steps
✔ handrails
✔ non-slip step surfaces
✔ high-visibility step edges
✔ coach-style forward-facing seats
✔ three-point seatbelts
✔ heating and air conditioning

Please note:

  • vehicles are generally not low-floor
  • no built-in wheelchair lift or ramp
  • no onboard toilet
  • all passengers must travel in fixed seats
